Who is St Patrick?

Our Patron Saint

St Patrick is the patron saint of our school and a special role model for our community. He is remembered for his kindness, courage and strong faith. Over 1,500 years ago, St Patrick travelled across Ireland sharing the message of God’s love and helping people to learn about Christianity. He is often pictured with a shamrock, which he used to help explain the Holy Trinity: the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

At St Patrick’s Catholic Primary School in Toxteth, Liverpool, we are proud to share our name with the historic St Patrick’s Church, which has been at the heart of our local community since 1827. Inspired by St Patrick’s example, we encourage our children to live out our Catholic values by showing LOVE –
