Yesterday was sports day for Nursery and Reception, and the children had a great time! Thanks to everyone who came along to cheer them on!
What an incredible performance we’ve just seen from our Year 6 children! The children have worked so hard, learning some very complex dance routines (and even creating their own!) while performing a range of songs that kept the audience entertained throughout. We’ve got some real stars of the future in this class! Well done, Year 6; you were amazing!
We had a great day out in Gulliver’s World today! Year 2 have worked so hard this year and this was a well-earned treat for their amazing SATs results and their brilliant work all year! Thanks so much to Miss Edwards, Miss Price and Mrs Davies for coming to help out Mr Larkin, Mrs Smith and Miss Shack on the trip. Even though it rained a lot, it was the best day ever and the children behaved brilliantly. Well done, Year 2!
We had a fantastic assembly this morning learning about African countries, languages, music and dance with Movema! Years 1 and 2 have been learning about Africa for International Week, and we enjoyed our amazing workshops with Movema after the assembly. We learned some traditional African songs with calls and responses, played African percussion instruments and even created our own dance routines based on the African dances we had learned!
Year 1 have had an amazing day at Knowsley Safari Park. We have seen so many animals, we even went to the Sealion show and saw Rodger and Arthur perform for us! Can you remember the names of some of the other animals we seen? What was you favourite part of the day?
What a wonderful afternoon in year 5! We have been so lucky to have Miss Waters’ friend Liv visit us today. She taught us how to write and say the numbers 1 – 10 in Cantonese and we practiced by asking our friends their ages.
Liv then taught us how to make a beautiful origami heart. We followed her instructions really carefully, it was a little tricky but we made some super ones. We decorated them by adding the Cantonese character for heart.
Thank you for coming to help us with our learning Liv.
We had an excellent morning at La Tasca, Liverpool as part of our Spanish studies for international week. The children tried 4 different tapas dishes and some lovely children’s sangria! They practised some Spanish phrases to order food and converse with the waitress and chefs. It was an excellent opportunity for them to practise their table manners, try new foods, and learn outside the classroom. What dishes did you try boys and girls?
