Our school has school travel plan status. Every school has had to have a travel plan since 2010.

In October some of our year 5 and year 6 pupils are having cycle training through BikeRight. They spend eight hours over a two day period and they gain confidence and skills. Thanks BikeRight for providing this free training.  We will be giving Year 5 and 6 pupils forms to access the cycle training in October and we have 12 pupils taking the training. ` The dates are: Tuesday 11th and Tuesday 18th October 2016

We are so pleased with the number of children that cycle to school and it ranges across all year groups.

We have been operating Walk to School Weeks for the past 7 years. They are a great success and the traffic around the school is reduced. However, our aim is to further improve the children’s health and fitness, and the environment.  We introduced the WOW scheme, walking to school at least once a week. Our scheme started in June 2010.

Our Walk to School week this year will be in November. During our ‘Bright Brake Day’ on Thursday 26th November last year, we raised over £150 with an own clothes day. In May 2016 we raised the same amount and put it with all of your generous contributions in support of our 5k staff and pupil participation in Sefton Park. We were able, as a school to donate over £1,100 to Nugent care who are great supporters of our families.

Our next Walk to School: TBA

Thank you for your continued support in all our initiatives!
