We are so lucky to have not only wonderful school grounds, but a fantastic new kitchen in the EYFS. Today we started the day by harvesting our very own potatoes which have been grown at school. We washed them ourselves, then followed a recipe to boil and mash them, adding other ingredients (weighing and measuring carefully) and mixing well. Our bread smelt fantastic as it baked, and we enjoyed sharing it for our snack the next day. We are farmers and chefs, and a family that cooks and eats together!
