We have had such a busy day today seeing lots of amazing sights in Barcelona! We took a stroll down La Rambla, the most famous street in the city, and made sure to stop for an ice cream along the way, which was a good chance to practise some Spanish too! After this, we drove up to the Olympic Village and stopped at the Mirador to enjoy some amazing views of Barcelona.
Then, it was time to have our lunch in the stunning Parc de la Ciutadella, before heading to Park Güell, the park designed by the Catalan artist and architect Gaudí. We had some artistic inspiration of our own and did some beautiful sketches of the lovely scenery around the park.
Finally, we visited Camp Nou, the home of Barcelona Football Club. We saw all the trophies that they had won, entered the changing rooms where the visiting teams get ready, went onto the pitch side for a great view of the stadium, and went up into the gantry to develop our commentary skills!
After all that, we just had time to enjoy another excellent meal in the hotel and walk the (very!) short distance to the beach for a quick play before bed.
We miss you all, but we’re having a great time!
