As part of their activity week, Year 6 children visited the Chill Factore on Thursday to try out skiing. All of the children had a great time and loved learning a new skill. We hope you enjoy some of the photos that were taken on the day.
And the day was just too long for 2 young boys…
Year 6 enjoyed a lovely day out at Jungle Parc in Croxteth Park today. The children got to go on a high wire course, where they conquered their fears and got to face new challenges. You are all a credit to our school!
We had a great time at our maths party today! Well done to Mrs Cooper for preparing such incredible maths-themed party food!
An Elephant In The Garden is about three refugees; they are from Heidelberg, in the south of Germany. It is for 8 to 11 year olds. It is set in about 1939 to 1945. Through that time they made sacrifices, such as, leaving their home and family. I really liked this book! The reason I liked it is that it kept me wondering what was going to happen next. One of the characters, Karli caught a very dangerous disease that sadly killed her mum shortly after arriving in the refugee camp in 1943. The doctors could not cure her but she somehow got better. Then the refugees were put in a refugee camp in 1943 by the American ‘s until the war was over in 1945.
characters: Mutti,Karli, and Joe age 19, 8 and 30
Year 6 spent Monday and Tuesday at the Lake District this week! The children had lots of fun learning new skills and taking part in new activities too, like gorge scrambling and canoeing.
Here are some pictures from gorge scrambling, where the girls and boys had to work as a team to move up a fast-flowing river!
